Accumulator bets explained

This is a very lucrative type of bet but it carries a lot of risk with it. This bet takes a combination of 3 or more bets to form one large bet. The overall odds of this bet will be high and then, in turn, leads to a huge payout. Having said that, a loss in one part of the bet will affect the entire bet. For this to qualify as a successful bet, all bets that have been combined MUST come true otherwise the bet gets ruined. This is how much risk the bet carries with it. The reward of this bet is sweet but, one has to really sweat for it.

There is a way in which this kind of bet is arrived at. It is not just picking random bets and combining them together because it does not work that way. First of all, all bets combined must be on the same side. This means that live betting can never be combined with normal betting. If one chooses to go the live betting way, then that gambler has to make sure that all the bets combined are all live betting else the bet will be submitted with errors.

Most top bookies like Pinnacle, Paddy Power, William Hill, and Bet365 prefer to call this bet an ‘Acca’ bet. Paddy power has categorised them into 3 options namely double, treble, and fourfold.

Below is an example showing how this ‘Acca’ bet works.
FC Barcelona vs Newcastle United FC – New York Red Bulls vs Chelsea FC – Golden State Warrior vs San Antonio Spurs. The hyphen separates the single bets but the whole sentence shows that the whole thing is just one big Acca bet. The same thing would have applied had the games being selected been already kicked off.
